Colonel Edward St Aubyn was born on 8th March 1837 at Cornwall, England. He was the second son of Sir Edward St Aubyn, 1st Bt and Emma Knollys. Educated at Eton College, he went on to Trinity College, Cambridge, and was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1859
Edward was a practising barrister. He was Deputy Special Warden of the Stannaries. He gained the rank of Colonel in the 3rd Battalion, Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry. He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (DL) of Cornwall and was a Justice of the Peace (JP) for Devon. [1]
He married Edith Stewart on 19th April 1866 at Stoke Dameral, Devon. [2] They had two sons:
Edward married, secondly, Eugenia Chapman, daughter of David Barclay Chapman and Maria Chatfield, on 25th October 1879 at Kensington, London. [3] They had one son:
He married, thirdly, Ada Mary White-Thomson, daughter of Colonel Sir Robert Thomas White-Thomson and Fanny Julia Ferguson Davie, on 9th July 1891 at St George Hanover Square, London. [4] They had a further four children:
Edward passed away, aged 76 years, on 11th January 1914 at Bodmin, Cornwall. [5]
